As the other warriors tired and had to fall back, the few with the stamina to continue the fight had to move their line back to a narrower portion of the ravine. Freki refused to step back and soon found himself alone amidst the undead. His weapon had but to touch them for the magic that held them together to fail. Collasped and nearly disintegrated corpses lay in a ring around him. He managed to thin the ranks enough that the warriors were able to hold their ground and keep the undead from reaching any of the tunnels which held the rest of the clan.
Finally, the waves of undead finally relented and Freki found himself surrounded by rotting flesh and fallen warriors. Though many had died, the majority of the warriors had survived. They began to hail Freki as a hero when they all heard an unfamiliar sound. It could only be the wings of a great beast above the tree-tops. The warriors scattered to the caves. They would face the undead, but a dragon was completely different. Freki stood his ground against this new menace, he had faced down the undead, now he intended to let the dragons know their time was at hand.
In a booming voice easily heard by all the clan, the dragon spoke from overhead.

"I have allowed you to live in my territory for generations, because you bother me and my armies not. Now I find you are unhappy with our arrangement, you intend to create an issue of yourselves. You have lived in my realm for your entire lives, I am RendGrave, your Master. You must learn the folly of your ways," with the last word, RendGrave exhaled a cloud of light blue gas that slowly drifted into the ravine.
Freki's sword glowed with a bright red flash, dissipating much of the cloud. At the sight of the red flash, the dragon seemed to feel pain and tore aside the trees, diving into the ravine. RendGrave found Freki standing in the mouth of the ravine, sword pulled back to strike. With two lightning quick strikes with his claws, both swiftly blocked by Freki, RendGrave hunched down and leapt into the sky. Freki pressed the attack on the retreating dragon and managed to clip a piece of the wing which flew up the ravine into the remains of the gas.
The bluish gas floated down into the mouths of two caves. Screaming was instantly heard from the warriors within. Everyone in the path of the gas hurried down the interconnected tunnels to safer caves.
